There is so much to see and experience in life, but only if you stand up and go.

Is any of this for real, or not?

His pupils dilated and his heart pumping, all he could see and hear was his opponent just across the piste.
All he could feel was his sweat trickling down his nose, as well as his right hand firmly gripping his blade.
The rest of the world was shut off, they didn't matter, not temporarily at least.
Score was 14-4. He was down by 10 points. It sucked, he knew, that all his training had come to naught. Perhaps, he wondered, after his victory the previous time he started not to take training seriously. Perhaps, he thought, that he was getting too old for this combat of blades. Perhaps, he thought, it just wasn't his day. But it didn't matter no shit, because amidst all the perhaps he realised that his opponent had started advancing towards him and was accelerating real quickly.
He reacted just as the opponent was halfway through his first step, with the tip of the blade pointing threateningly at his left shoulder. It was easy, he simply moved backwards with all his might and within a second the distance was opened wide again. His opponent stopped in his track, bouncing with a rhythm, already taking a step backwards in his forward-forward-back fencing tempo.
The feeling was back again, that sweat trickling down his face and his arm gripped tightly onto his blade. He was sure, though, that if he kept this up, and the timer ran out on him he'd lose. But if he made a fatal mistake, and let his opponent score even a point, he'd still lose. Either way, he was in a difficult position. He, deep down, thought he'd lose, but there was no choice. He has to go down with a fight.
With that, he came back to reality and saw that his opponent was on the first step of his 3 part tempo. He made a quick step forward, and feint towards the opponent's right shoulder. From within his mask, years of tough training allowed him to see that his opponent wasn't moving back, and very quickly the blade was twirling in an anti-clockwise manner attempting to push his blade outwards so his point could come in.
Hah! He thought. He saw that coming, and twirled his blade in an anti-clockwise V to disengage his opponent's parry. His succeeded and his point headed in in in and it touched the opponent's body.
Yet the light did not come on.
The opponent had deftly took a small step backwards- fortunately large enough just that a hit did not register. Then his point swiftly came in from outside, towards his left shoulder.
The light came on.

You know I just read about the mobile phone syndrome that about 80% of Singaporeans have, and immediately I looked down at my handphone to check if there was the flashing greenlight to alert me of a new message.
Heh, funny isn't it?
They say that the mobile phone syndrome affects those that are under tremendous stress, which under the Singaporean context, isn't all that surprising.
But hell, how come it affects me?
All I do nowadays is train and work. I don't even study. Hell, I know I should study but the inertia is too great for me to overcome. I don't want to study. Studying sucks, it makes you geeky, nerdy and purportedly makes you wiser and more intelligent. Why don't they say that studying makes you miss out on life, and since you kids have no interests outside school at all and are already lifeless, just spend the rest of your worthless life studying cause studying is the simplest and 'only' route to success.
Alright, I admit. Perhaps I'm stressed out because I'm doing everything else possible in the world except studying. I'm trying to achieve success from unorthodox ways. I'm almost certain that I'd fail. No, I mean PEOPLE are almost certain I'd fail.
Hell, I once theorised that all kids are required to study because studying is the simplest thing to do. It is the easiest route to success, as I've mentioned above, but of course it comes at a price.
Studying is disgusting. That's why I don't study.
Yet with all said and done, we all know that ultimately, I will study; If not for the interest, then for the 'guaranteed' success behind it. But I shall stick to my stand-
I hate studying, and for that, I shall study less than other people and attempt to go very far from what little effort I put in for my studies.
I want it all- success down the untrekked trails, and succes down this repulsive route.

Few things in this world matter.
Not how others think of me
Not how others wanna be.
Sometimes, I can't be bothered with how some people lead their lives. So why are they telling me stuff, telling me so much stuff I have no interest in, telling me so much stuff so that
I won't judge them.
Cause maybe I don't care. Cause maybe as a friend I was never close; even if I said I was, I've never shown.
It's tough being a friend of Sebastian, but it's even tougher being Sebastian cause he lives to exceed expectations.
Sorry if I sound ego, cause I'd need the confidence boost from my ego to attempt even crazier shit.

Alright lets pretend Marshall Mathers never picked up a pen
lets pretend things would have been no different
pretend he procrastinated had no motivation
pretend he just made excuses that were so paper thin
they could blow away with the wind
marshall you’re never gonna make it makes no sense to play the game there ain’t no way that you’ll win
pretend he just stayed outside all day and played with his friends
pretend he even had a friend to say was his friend
and it wasn’t time to move and schools were changing again
he wasn’t socially awkward and just strange as a kid
he had a father and his mother wasn’t crazy as shit
and he never dreamed he could rip stadiums and just lazy as shit
fuck a talent show in a gymnasium bitch
you won’t amount to shit
quit daydreaming kid
you need to get your cranium checked you thinking like an alien it just ain’t realistic
now pretend they ain’t just make him angry with this shit
and there was no one he could even aim when he’s pissed it
and his alarm went off to wake him off but he didn’t make it to the rap Olympics
slept through his plane and he missed it
he’s gon’ have a hard time explaining to Hailey and Laney these food stamps and this WIC shit
cuz he never risked shit he hopes and he wished it but it didn’t fall in his lap so he ain’t even here
he pretends that
Airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars.
